“Oh baby face!” An update
His face was squished against my chest and I could just see the hint of a tiny smile at the edge of his lips as he slowly started to drift off to sleep.
Our little Lion’s fingers maybe extra small, but he sure does know how to wrap us around them.
Every photographer has their start somewhere. With the birth of my first son B, came the birth of Melody Rae Photography and EVERYTHING changed for me. The love I had for him was such a source of inspiration that effected my photography style. It was bright and fun!
And now, with this little guy in our lives…well, can you blame me for not being inspired once again? I slowly feel my inner artist blooming with all the love I have received from my beautiful family, friends, and clients. It’s so wonderful to get back to the root of what I love doing, and my signature style evolving just a teensie bit. I’m seeing shadows more deeply, colors more vibrantly, and love everywhere! I’m especially loving recreating the real film look that I grew up with.
I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes from a book I’m reading all about love (yes I love Love just that much!)
“Love draws you out of your cocoon of self-absorption to attune to others. Love allows you to really see another person, holistically, with care, concern, and compassion.” ― Barbara L. Fredrickson, Love 2.0: How Our Supreme Emotion Affects Everything We Feel, Think, Do, and Become
